What We Deliver

Everything between the telecom room and the camera

Cloud-managed cameras remove the NVR, not the installation. Each camera still needs a properly planned location, a certified PoE drop and a clean physical install.

Coverage Planning & Site Walk

We walk the building with your security stakeholders, review floor plans, and map camera locations, sightlines, mounting heights and entry points so coverage matches how the space is actually used.

Structured Cabling For Cameras

Cat6 and Cat6A horizontal runs from the IDF to each camera position, installed to TIA standards with proper supports, pathways, separation and firestopping where required.

PoE & Network Readiness

We coordinate PoE switch capacity, port counts, VLAN and uplink requirements with your IT team so each camera has the power budget and bandwidth its form factor requires.

Mounting & Physical Install

Dome, bullet, fisheye, mini, multisensor and PTZ form factors mounted on ceilings, walls, soffits, poles and exterior surfaces with the correct brackets, boxes and weather details.

Testing, Labeling & Documentation

Every drop is tested and certified, ports and faceplates labeled to a consistent scheme, and you receive as-built documentation, test results and camera-location records at close-out.

Configuration Coordination

We aim and focus each camera and coordinate with your team or your Verkada reseller during onboarding, device claiming and view verification so the system is usable on day one.

Included In A Typical Deployment

A camera install scope you can hand to procurement.

We quote camera deployments as a defined scope of work — drop counts, mounting types, pathway requirements, rack work, testing and documentation — so you know exactly what is included before anyone drills a hole.

  • Site survey and camera coverage walk-through
  • Camera count, placement and mounting-height planning
  • Cat6 / Cat6A cabling to every camera position
  • IDF / MDF rack, patch panel and cable management work
  • PoE switch coordination and port planning with IT
  • Exterior, parking-lot and pole-mount installations
  • Conduit, pathway, support and firestop coordination
  • Camera mounting, aiming and focus verification
  • Certification testing and labeling of all drops
  • Onboarding coordination and view verification
  • As-built documentation and camera location records
  • Adds, moves, changes and camera expansions later

Why Access Cabling

Hire the trade that owns the cable

Cabling is the part that fails

Cloud-managed cameras remove NVRs and servers, but every camera still depends on one correctly installed, tested and certified network drop. That is our core discipline.

One contractor, whole scope

Structured cabling, telecom rooms, network cabling, fiber backbone, access control and camera installation are all in-house, so nobody is waiting on another trade.

Clean, inspection-ready work

Neat pathways, proper supports, labeled patch fields and documented close-out packages — work you can hand to a facilities team or a building inspector.

Commercial environments

Offices, warehouses, schools, medical, retail, restaurants, credit unions and multi-site rollouts across California, with coordinated schedules and after-hours options.

FAQ

Verkada camera installation questions

Does Access Cabling install Verkada cameras?+

Yes. We provide installation and deployment services for Verkada cloud-managed cameras — site walks, coverage planning, Cat6/Cat6A cabling, PoE and network readiness, mounting, aiming, testing, labeling and close-out documentation. We are an independent low-voltage installation contractor and are not affiliated with Verkada Inc.

Is Access Cabling a Verkada dealer or reseller?+

We do not claim any dealer, reseller, certification or partnership status with Verkada. We install and deploy the hardware and cabling infrastructure, and we work alongside whichever reseller or account team supplies your licenses and devices.

Do you supply the cameras and licenses?+

Licensing and hardware procurement usually run through your Verkada account team or reseller. We can install owner-furnished equipment, and we will tell you clearly during the quote which items are furnished by whom.

What cabling do Verkada cameras need?+

Cameras are powered and networked over a single Ethernet drop using Power over Ethernet. We install Cat6 or Cat6A horizontal cabling from the nearest telecom room to each camera position, terminate and test it, and confirm the switch has the required PoE budget and port count.

Can you install cameras outdoors and on parking lots?+

Yes. We install exterior, soffit, wall, canopy and pole-mounted cameras, including the conduit, weatherproofing and pathway work required to protect the cable outside the building envelope.

Do you handle the network switches too?+

We install and terminate the cabling, dress the racks, and coordinate PoE switch capacity, port assignments and uplinks with your IT team or MSP. We can install switches you provide as part of the scope.

Do you configure the cameras in the cloud console?+

We handle physical installation, aiming, focus and view verification, and we coordinate with your administrators during device onboarding so every camera comes online and shows the intended field of view. Ongoing account, user and policy administration stays with your team.

Can you replace an old analog or NVR-based camera system?+

Yes. We survey the existing system, reuse pathways where appropriate, install new Cat6/Cat6A drops, remove or retire abandoned cabling within the approved scope, and cut over to the new cameras with minimal downtime.

Do you support multi-site rollouts?+

Yes. We regularly deploy cameras across multiple locations with a consistent labeling standard, per-site documentation and one point of contact for scheduling.

What areas do you cover?+

We serve commercial clients throughout California, including the Bay Area, Silicon Valley, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.
