A flagship branch designed around its screens.
Meriwest Credit Union's flagship Milpitas branch was designed around a wrapped architectural corner in the member lobby. That geometry ruled out a flat rectangular canvas: the LED had to turn a 96-degree corner and still present as one continuous image to members walking in from the street or up to the teller line.
Access Cabling engineered and installed the whole visual package — a custom SBC LED direct-view canvas with a purpose-built corner transition, two vertically mounted 98-inch commercial displays, the structural backing and mounts for all of it, and the power, signal and control infrastructure feeding a single documented AV rack.
All of it went in inside an active construction schedule, sequenced alongside millwork, lighting and ceiling trades so blocking, conduit and pathway were in place before finishes closed the walls.

96-DEGREE CORNER GEOMETRY
A steel sub-structure set to the architect's radius lets the LED canvas turn the lobby corner without a visible seam or break in the image.

Meriwest opened its flagship Milpitas branch with a corner LED canvas that reads as a single image from every approach in the lobby, two portrait 98-inch displays carrying member and product messaging, and one labeled AV rack driving all of it. Brightness and white point were calibrated across both corner faces and both displays, and the LED cabinets were left front-serviceable so branch staff and IT can operate the system day to day without a contractor on site.

HOW DOES AN LED VIDEO WALL TURN A 96-DEGREE CORNER?+
With a sub-structure built to the exact corner geometry and cabinets specified for angled assembly. Access Cabling set a steel frame to the architect's 96-degree layout, then aligned each SBC LED cabinet face-to-face so module gaps stay within tolerance through the bend. Done correctly, the corner disappears — the wall reads as a single continuous image from every approach in the lobby.
WHY USE DIRECT-VIEW LED INSTEAD OF TILED LCD PANELS?+
Direct-view LED has no bezels, so there are no grid lines across the image, and it can be built to non-rectangular shapes — including corners, curves and custom aspect ratios. It also holds brightness in daylight-filled lobbies like Meriwest's, where large glass frontage would wash out an LCD wall.
WHO MANUFACTURES THE LED USED ON THIS PROJECT?+
The canvas is built from SBC LED cabinets. Access Cabling handled the design coordination, structural mounting, power and data distribution, processor commissioning and calibration for the installed system.
CAN 98-INCH DISPLAYS BE MOUNTED VERTICALLY?+
Yes, with the right structural backing and a portrait-rated mount. At this size the wall has to be blocked before finishes go on, and the display's orientation rating must be confirmed with the manufacturer. Access Cabling coordinates that backing during construction so the panel sits flush with no visible cabling.
DO YOU HANDLE BOTH THE AV AND THE LOW-VOLTAGE CABLING?+
Yes. Access Cabling is a licensed California C-7 and C-10 contractor (CSLB 992009), so the same crew installs the structured cabling, the AV signal and control pathways, and the display and LED systems on top of them. One contractor owns the whole chain from the rack to the glass.
